Already booked a spotting trip to Edinburgh? Considering a weekend there in the future? Or never even thought about it?
Whichever category you fall in, I thought making this montage was a good idea.

In this video you’ll see just some of the airlines and aircraft that fly to Edinburgh Airport, Scotland. The likes of Lufthansa, Blue1, Norwegian, Turkish, KLM, Vueling, Aer Lingus, Monarch, Thomas Cook, Germanwings and many more are featured in this video. And of course there are other airlines that aren’t featured in the video, including the new service to Doha with ‘Qatar airlines, and the daily trans-Atlantic flights with United and US Airways, plus the 4 weekly Air Canada Rouge.

As the title says these clips were all shot in one weekend in October 2012 (13th and 14th), which shows the diversity of airlines that fly to EDI/EGPH. Of course if you want plane spotting+sun, Edinburgh Airport isn’t the place to be, but if you want an awesome airport with a great viewing location and a great atmosphere Edinburgh should be a contender on your list of airports to visit.

  11. Good video! I live near the airport, i was wondering do you know the best place to go so the planes are approaching/taking off from directly above? I had a look on maps and it looks like the east side near lennymuir there is a field by the rail bridge…is it any good do you know? Cheers!

  39. Althought i also prefer aviation without music (not always!), this was enjoyable. Just plain take off and landing videos can sometimes get boring, so this is a nice addition to my sub box! Well done on the music choice and recording. 🙂
