  1. ATS is currently shut down, so use the free bus service until 2020. If arriving during rush hour, the Uber ride to Chicago can last as long as 1.5 hours. The Blue Line CTA train will take 50 to 60 minutes. There is also Metra train service to Chicago via the Ohare Transfer station (from Antioch, IL) but until the ATS is operational, this is not advisable since the buses are slow.
If you need to transfer from Ohare Airport to Midway Airport, and you cant afford a taxi or an Uber, you can go to Terminal 2 and take the Blue line CTA to the Jim Thompson State of Illinois center, (DO NOT EXIT THIS STATION) and ascend via the escalators to the Loop elevated CTA station, hop on an Orange Line CTA all the way to Midway Airport. Full ride for only $2.50.

  2. You should mention that Chicago's second airport Midway is connected to the CTA by the orange line. So if you can ride the blue line train to your downtown hotel, you can transfer to the orange line train at the loop downtown to get you to Midway.
